About me
Dr. Lorena Tule-Romain is the Co-Founder and COO of ImmSchools, a national nonprofit whose mission is to create a positive school culture for all students and parents, regardless of their immigration status. A formerly undocumented student activist who immigrated from Michoacán, Mexico at the age of nine. Dr. Tule-Romain brings lived experience and deep expertise in education, immigration, and systems change to her work. She holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Southern Methodist University, where her research examined how K–12 leaders support undocumented Black and Asian students.
