Adam D. Brown, PhD, is Professor of Psychology at The New School for Social Research and Director of the New School Center for Global Mental Health and an Adjunct Associate Professor of Psychiatry at NYU School of Medicine. His work focuses on expanding access to effective mental health care through scalable, evidence-based and community-based approaches.
Dr. Brown leads research and implementation initiatives that bring together universities, government agencies, community-based organizations, and young people to develop, adapt, and evaluate mental health strategies that can be delivered in real-world settings. He has served as an advisor and consultant to organizations including UNICEF and the United Nations and has received support from the National Institutes of Health, USAID, Fulbright, and private foundations.
