About me
Born and raised in Montana, Heidi Wallace is a nonprofit leader, strategist, facilitator, and
educator advancing equity and belonging through community-centered action. Since joining
EmpowerMT in 2004 and becoming Executive Director in 2013, she has led initiatives that
develop youth leaders, address systemic inequities, strengthen communities, and cultivate
organizational cultures of belonging. Guided by a deep love of place and people, Heidi centers
lived experience, collaborative leadership, and sustainable partnerships in her work. She is a
University of Montana alumna, recipient of the Native American Studies Distinguished Alumni
Award, and former U.S. Department of State Professional Fellow whose international experience
includes community-building, facilitation, and cross-cultural collaboration in Malaysia,
Myanmar, and Thailand.
